Meet Our Team
“Dr Tyler” Carter was born in Arizona and raised nearby in Mesa. After high school, he served as a missionary in Brazil where he became fluent in Portuguese and gained a greater love and appreciation for those of different backgrounds and cultures. He then attended Arizona State University, earned his B.S. degree in Medical Science and went on to graduate Magna Cumme Laude from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Dr Tyler completed his two-year residency at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada where he earned his Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. At the end of his residency, Dr Tyler was awarded the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award, which honors graduates who scored in the Top 3% of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry written qualifying exam. He is a diplomate (board certified) of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr Tyler loves his job. He really enjoys working with children and teenagers, especially those with special needs. He likes the challenge of helping those that are anxious to have a successful and positive experience at the dentist. He was selected by his peers as a Top Pediatric Dentist in the Phoenix Magazine for 2014, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023.
Dr Tyler loves being outdoors. He likes riding his horses, dirt bike riding, hiking, exploring, and planting fruit trees. He especially loves these activities when doing them with his wonderful wife, Jennie, and their three children. Dr. Tyler’s talents include annoying his wife and embarrassing his children.
Tyler Carter, DDS
A native of Connecticut, “Dr. Randy” graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois.
Following dental school, Dr. Randy served 3 years in the U.S. Army as a general dentist. During this time, he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and served one year in Iraq. He then completed his two-year pediatric dentistry residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He remained at the residency to do an extensive fellowship in cleft lip/palate.
Dr. Randy enjoys doing all aspects of pediatric dentistry and treating children with craniofacial abnormalities and those with special needs. He served over 10 years as the Pediatric Dental Consultant for the Barrow Craniofacial Team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He is the Section Chief for Dentistry and Oral Surgery at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Dr. Randy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a member of American Dental Association, and the Arizona Dental Association. Dr. Randy is a faculty member with the NYU Langone Hospitals Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program and enjoys teaching and mentoring the residents.
Dr. Randy was selected as a Top Pediatric Dentist 2015, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 by Phoenix Magazine. He lives in Phoenix with his wife and two children (one daughter and one son). In his free time, he enjoys running, combat fitness, hiking, skiing, traveling and spending time with his family.
Randy Weinshel, DDS
“Dr. Nathan” West grew up in Gilbert, Arizona and is thrilled to have returned back to his home state after practicing as a board-certified pediatric dentist in Texas for almost 10 years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona (Bear Down!), after which he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Because of his love for working with children, he pursued further specialization by completing a 2-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Nathan loves being a pediatric dentist and getting to work with children every day! He also values opportunities to give back. While in Texas, he donated his time and talents to the Save-A-Smile program, and he was the dental liaison to the Children’s Oral Health Coalition. While serving on this committee, he headed a program dedicated to improving dental access for pregnant teens, as well as providing them education to ensure ideal dental care for their new babies.
When he’s not helping make healthy smiles and building positive dental experiences, he enjoys spending time with his wife and five kids. Some of their favorite activities together include hiking and camping, playing outdoors, going on road trips, and watching movies, to name just a few. He also likes working on projects around the house as well as grilling and smoking meat. Dr. Nathan is also an Eagle Scout and is fluent in Spanish.

Melissa
Melissa was born in Kearny, Arizona and has lived here her entire life. She is married and has 4 children – 2 boys and 2 girls. She has worked in the dental field for over 15 years as both a dental assistant and as a treatment coordinator. She enjoys pediatric dentistry more than any other specialty. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, shopping, cooking, and baking.
Alyssa
Alyssa was born and raised in Gilbert and graduated from Pima Medical Institute. She values her time working with children. She also enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family
Sameah
Sameah is originally from Iowa and moved to Arizona in 2022. She began her dental career in 2014 as a 68E (Dental Assistant) in the Army, and has been in the Dental field ever since. She started working in Peds in 2018 and fell in love with working with children. She is happily married with an amazing little girl. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, watching movies or reading.
Delfina
Delfina was born in Santa Fe, NM grew up in Kansas and resides her adult life here in the sunshine state of Arizona. She is happily married and has two beautiful children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, singing and following the Los Angeles Dodgers! She has been in the pediatric dentistry field for 15 years and enjoys making children's dental experiences the best they can be!
Linda
Linda moved to Arizona in 1973, having grown up in the state of Washington. She has 2 children and 5 grandchildren. She has worked in the dental field for 35 years! She enjoys traveling, music, sports, and cooking. You can often catch her a local farmers’ markets on the weekends, where she sells her Italian pasta sauces.
Cassie
Cassie was born and raised in San Diego and recently moved to Arizona. She has been in the dental field for over 12 years and found her passion in pediatrics. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She has a one year old son, Cole, and is enjoying life as his mama!

Bri
Bri was born in Pennsylvania, but has lived in Arizona the majority of her life. She has two children who keep her and her husband very busy. Bri became a hygienist in 2004 and has worked in Pediatrics her entire dental career. In her free time she likes to spend time up north in Pinetop with her family.
Brittany
Brittany grew up in Maui, Hawaii and moved to Arizona in 2003. Brittany and her husband share a home in Queen Creek with their two kids. She has been in the dental field since 2004 and loves working with kids. In her free time she enjoys working out and spending time with her family.
Brittney
Brittney has been in the dental field for 10 years. She worked as our dental assistant prior to attending hygiene school. We are thrilled to have her back on our team as a hygienist. She is married and has a little boy. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family. She is very passionate about all aspects of pediatric dentistry and really enjoys helping the children to feel comfortable in the dental chair.
Andrea
Andrea was raised in Mesa, AZ. She is married and has two children, Logan and Addison. She began her career in pediatric dentistry in 2017 after realizing she had a passion for educating children on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene which in turn benefits their overall health. During her free time Andrea loves to travel, spend time with her family, and read.
Katie
Katie was born in Utah, but moved to Mesa, Arizona when she was 2 years old. She is a mother to 3 boys and 1 girl. Her passion is working with kids and she loves teaching them about their oral hygiene. Katie has a major sweet tooth and loves to work out. Her perfect day would be spent relaxing on the beach.
Rachel
Rachel was born and raised in the East Valley and has been a hygienist since 2018. She graduated from Rio Salado, LOVES pediatrics and joined our team in 2021. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter, finding new places to eat, and traveling.
Dental Assistants
Laura
Laura was born in Mexico and has lived in Arizona her entire life. She has two boys and loves to go camping with her family. Laura has worked both in the front and back office in dentistry. She loves working as a dental assistant and looks forward to greeting each and every child with a smile.
Allison
Allison was born and raised in Southern California and moved to AZ in 2001. She has been in the dental field for 20+ years and has been in pediatrics for 13 years. She is happily married with one daughter. She enjoys doing anything crafty in her spare time.
Jenna
Jenna was born and raised in Arizona. She began as an intern before working full time at KFPD, which lead her to receive a certification through EVIT. She has experience working with children and loves helping them with their dental needs. She also enjoys spending time with her family, watching new shows, and is a huge foodie.

Cassidy
Cassidy was born and raised in Albany, Oregon and moved to Arizona in 2022, where she became certified as a Dental Assistant. She had a desire to work with kids and was excited to take the opportunity to work with KFPD. She looks forward everyday to helping make dental experiences for kids enjoyable. In her free time she loves to hangout with her family.
Brookelynn
Brookelynn has lived in many different states but has ultimately settled in Arizona where her family lives. Brookelynn is recently married and she and her husband love doing everything together- hiking, pickleball, watching movies, you name it! She has worked for Kids First since high school and loves the environment here. Brookelynn especially loves making kids feel comfortable and have a good time at the dental office!
Bailey
Bailey was born and raised in colorful Colorado where the majority of her family lives. She started her dental career in 2018. She found herself in pediatrics and quickly noticed her love and passion in working with children. Bailey finds her job as an assistant very rewarding and loves making each and every one of her patients feel safe and comfortable in the dental chair. In 2022, Bailey went through a life change of events and followed family moving to Sunny Arizona, where she continues her career as a Dental Assistant. On her free time, Bailey enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend and her Siberian Husky, Koda.
Laney
Laney was born in Henderson, Nevada, but has lived in Arizona most of her life. She recently graduated high school, and received her Associates degree, in May of 2022. Since then, she is enjoying being a full time team member at KFPD, until she leaves to serve a full-time mission for her church next spring. She enjoys singing, reading, running, hiking and spending time outdoors with her family. She loves being a dental assistant, and especially loves getting to work with children every day. She enjoys the opportunity she gets to help each child that walks through the door.
Stephanie
Stephanie is originally from Huntington Beach, California. She has lived in Arizona for the last 14 years. She graduated from Pima medical institute in 2020 and immediately went into Pediatric Dentistry. She has a passion for kids and making their smile brighter. She has one amazing daughter and loves spending her free time with her family and traveling.
